These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gibs API ("Service") provided by Gibbr AB, a Swedish limited company (org.nr 559496-0766), ("Company", "we", "us").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
Gibs is an AI-powered information retrieval service that provides automated analysis of EU regulations, including the EU AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689) and the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679).
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Gibs is an information tool, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. The Service retrieves and synthesizes information from publicly available EU regulatory texts. Responses generated by the Service do not constitute legal opinions, legal advice, or regulatory compliance certification. You should always consult qualified legal counsel for decisions affecting your legal obligations.
2. Accounts and API Keys
2.1. You must register for an account and obtain an API key to use the Service.
2.2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key. Any activity under your API key is your responsibility.
2.3. You must provide accurate registration information. We reserve the right to suspend accounts with false or misleading information.
2.4. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your API key at [email protected].
3. Permitted Use
3.1. You may use the Service to query EU regulatory information for your internal business purposes, including integrating the Service into your own applications and workflows.
3.2. You may display, reference, and redistribute responses from the Service, provided that you do not represent them as legal advice or regulatory certification.
3.3. You may not:
Resell the Service as a standalone product without our prior written consent
Use the Service to provide legal advice to third parties
Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or reconstruct the underlying corpus, models, or algorithms
Exceed the rate limits of your subscription tier
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Share your API key with third parties
4. Subscription and Payment
4.1. The Service is offered under tiered subscription plans as described on our website. Pricing is in EUR and billed monthly.
4.2. Payment is due at the start of each billing period. We use third-party payment processors (Stripe) and do not store your payment information.
4.3. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.
4.4. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact [email protected].
5. Service Level
5.1. We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided on a "best effort" basis.
5.2. We may perform maintenance with or without prior notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.
5.3. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information provided by the Service. EU regulations may be amended, and there may be a delay before updates are reflected in the Service.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1. The Service, including its software, algorithms, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Gibbr AB.
6.2. EU regulatory texts queried through the Service are public domain and not subject to copyright restrictions.
6.3. You retain ownership of your queries and any applications you build using the Service.
7. Data and Privacy
7.1. We process queries to provide the Service. Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
7.2. We log API usage (timestamps, query metadata, response times) for operational and billing purposes. We do not sell or share query content with third parties.
7.3. Query content may be stored temporarily for caching and performance optimization. Cached queries are automatically purged after 24 hours.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY SWEDISH LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY OF REGULATORY INFORMATION.
8.2. IN NO EVENT SHALL GIBBR AB BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR REGULATORY FINES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
8.3. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
8.4. You acknowledge that the Service is an information tool and that any decisions made based on its output are solely your responsibility.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gibbr AB, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
10. Termination
10.1. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
10.2. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.
10.3. Upon termination, your API key is deactivated and access ceases immediately.
11. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Sweden, with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance.
